  5.   We at Legacy Software Creations do NOT support the widely used 'KEY' or
  6.   'CODE' registration systems, where you are mailed a sequence of letters
  7.   and/or numbers that may be inserted in a previously unregistered version of
  8.   the program you are using.
  9.  
  10.   The primary advantage to using a 'KEY' or a 'CODE' based system is the costs
  11.   involved.  Authors can get away with mailing conventional letters with the
  12.   needed code, rather than an entire disk.  They may also argue that
  13.   registrations can be processed much more quickly "their" way. However, we
  14.   intend to prove them wrong.

  16.   Not only will we vow to process ALL registrations received within 24 hours,
  17.   but we feel that you will receive a better product as a result. Consider the
  18.   following:

  20.   * Code systems require time and effort to program and integrate. While a
  21.     portion of this time was spent writing this document, we have saved
  22.     considerable time in the releasing of this product without spending
  23.     time to put a code system into place.
  24.  
  25.   * Code systems can be defeated by 'hackers'.  Our system is impossible to
  26.     hack, since the registered features do not EXIST in the unregistered
  27.     version of the program.  While no system is perfect, we strive to
  28.     protect our software in every way possible to prevent piracy.  Piracy
  29.     hurts EVERYONE by reducing our sales, thereby making it increasingly
  30.     difficult to continue support.

  32.   * Since we only put what you NEED in the version of this product that you
  33.     have, it will be considerably smaller than it would be if useless code
  34.     and registration checks were left in place.  This is cost saving in
  35.     itself!

  37.   * Future versions are available at low, low prices.  If you have a
  38.     FidoNet or Internet EMail address, they will come to you AUTOMATICALLY,
  39.     FREE OF CHARGE!  Read the UPDATE.FRM for details.

  41.   * Unless you require a mailed key, your updates will be sent WITHIN
  42.     72 HOURS of any new major version release!  This means that in many
  43.     cases you will receive your copy LONG before the unregistered
  44.     version hits your local BBSes!
